For years, Barbara D. Watkins, CPA has been providing quality, personalized financial guidance to individuals and businesses.



Barbara Watkins is a local C.P.A. who has been in practice for over 30 years. She grew up in the Chicago area and graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Accounting and Finance. Accounting was not a popular degree for women back then. In fact, when she started her career in Chicago, she was the first woman ever hired by a well-established CPA firm.



In 1982 while vacationing in Florida, she walked in off the street and was hired by the largest CPA firm in Orlando. She worked for that firm until 1990 before she went out on her own.



Barbara specializes in both Business and Individual taxes and Small Business Startups. Her mission is to find deductions and tax credits that others have missed. Thus she is called “The Diva of Deductions”.

She is also Certified Advisor and trainer for both QuickBooks and Peachtree (Sage)software.

Barbara gives back to her community by sitting on the board of many charities and civic organizations. She also on the Board of Trustee’s for the City of Winter Springs. She also won the 2012 Wealth Manager Award.
